Our Year 9 students have been experimenting with 3D design using SketchUp to produce houses of the future.

Mr. Kinsella has encouraged students interested in careers based on design to develop their skills in similar software such as 3D Max, ZWCAD and AutoCAD in order to prepare themselves for future roles in computing and design. Within SketchUp, students have learned about tools such as scale, orbit, pan, move and incorporating the 3D warehouse objects into their work.

When I wrote my first newsletter for Term 2 back in January, I expressed that whilst shorter in length than Term 1, I felt we would see great growth in our learners during Term 2. I can safely say that this has certainly been the case, with so many rich learning experiences leading to an increase in confidence and flourishing both within and beyond the classroom.
