Through this experience, the students from INRL not only learned to work as a team, motivating and challenging each other, they also got to put their entrepreneurial skills to the test and exceeded all expectations!
In total, 110 smoothies were sold. The total amount collected was $550. After deduction of material costs and giving the students a nice treat at Swensen’s Restaurant for the hard work put in, the balance of $228 will be given to charity.
The proceeds will be given to ‘Doorway Online’. This is a UK based charity that provides free interactive programmes for students including spelling and word-processing practice. Their word-processing software is particularly user-friendly and the donation will help them upgrade their text type programme which we use in our word processing ECA.

Our Year 7 students went on two amazing trips to Sibu Island, Malaysia, for their year group residential. Surrounded by the beauty of nature and immersed in a vibrant new culture, students had the chance to connect with their friends and make memories that will last forever.
