As part of creating a Student Council in the Primary School, Years 3 and 4 discussed what skills and qualities they have that make them a good leader. Within each class, a number of children then put themselves forward to be a representative for their year group on the student council. The classes voted for one student to go forward to the next round.

These children then had to write and practise a speech at home, following a set criteria. They presented their speeches to Miss Dolan and Mr Neeson during lunch time today. Both Miss Dolan and Mr Neeson were very impressed with the children. Confidently, they spoke about when they had shown good leadership skills, what changes they would make to the school and how they could help other children. It was a tough decision to choose two representatives for each year group but we are confident that they will do a fantastic job.
