Diversity Day: A Sea of Blue, Silly Socks and Easter Bonnets DCIS came together to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day, Autism Awareness Day and to parade their Easter bonnets

DCIS came together on Diversity Day to celebrate both World Down Syndrome Day and Autism Awareness Day, while the children in Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 paraded their fantastic Easter bonnet creations.

Along with Easter bonnets a sea of blue and silly socks descended on campus and students took part in activities to raise awareness of down syndrome, autism and how, in general, we all learn differently. Teachers held discussions on diversity in response to video stimulus and the younger children designed their own silly socks. It was a fantastic day celebrating our diverse community.
