DCIS Vision Super Heroes

Dover Court International School presents the Vision Super Heroes!

To explore our school vision and make it easier to understand for especially our younger students we have called in the Vision Super Heroes to help explain the seven characteristics of the DCIS Vision. The children and teachers were delighted and intrigued to know more about the caped crusaders who flew in to their afternoon assemblies last Friday. During the assembly they were introduced to:

Captain Collaboration - Collaboration

Captain Collaboration looks out for children who work together and support each other. Teamwork makes the dream work!

Guardian of the Globe - Global Citizenship

Whoever you are, wherever you're from, Guardian of the Globe is here to teach you what's right and what's wrong. Global citizens are equal and fair, they stand up for justice, they reach out and care. Borders and boundaries are not a concern. Every colour and race, together we learn.

Major Resilience - Resilience

Major Resilience shows the children that when he tries to do things he might not always get them right, but he will always keep trying until he succeeds.

Custodian of Care- Care

Custodian of Care takes care of the people around . She ensures that we all look after our school and treat our surroundings in a respectful way. She also looks for ways to protect the wider environment and try to encourage other people do the same.

Reflection Ranger- Reflection

The Reflection Ranger likes to encourage each and every one of us to reflect upon our actions. This means we think about what we have done well, and what we could do to improve even more. We are kind to each when we share advice and always help each other to be the best versions of ourselves.

Illuminator of Integrity- Integrity

The Illuminator of Integrity knows the power of doing the right thing at the right time. The Illuminator of Integrity encourages people to be honest, stay true to their word and do the right thing at all times, especially when no-one is watching.

Enquiry Enabler - Enquiry 

The Enquiry Enabler uses the skills of investigation, examination and exploration, to find out new information, correct misconceptions and learn more about the world around us.

At the end of the assembly, the children found out more about the new award certificates and badges and how these are linked to each of the seven characteristics of the DCIS Vision.  Children learned that these are special awards and not every child will be getting one but instead these are going to be given to those who have tried their best to embody the skills of collaboration, global citizenship, resilience, care, reflection, integrity and enquiry.  Remember to be on the lookout as you never know when our Vision Super Heroes will reappear!
