Dover Court Students Participate in Metasprint Triathlon
For the first time ever Dover Court entered a team in the Metasprint Triathlon Series. We were well represented with over 30 students competing in the school point score. For many of the children it was their first time competing in a triathlon - these kids raced very bravely and came away smiling.

The swim leg was the hardest as there as a very strong current on the day, a lot of competitors reported being pushed onto the ropes and needing a lot of effort to swim out and in. The swim was followed by the bike leg and then the run. Many parents were on hand to cheer at transition and the finish line - some of these parents had just finished the course themselves too. The smallest of our competitors got to roll out in the first ever Scootathon at the end of the day.
As well as the outstanding efforts of all who competed, the following students placed:
Team Lightening Lasses - Emily, Ellie and Bethan, Year 6 - 1st Kids female team
Diego, Year 4 - 3rd Male 8-9yo
Becky, Year 6 - Overall Sportsperson
It was a fabulous, hot sweaty active Sunday. Hopefully we'll see you racing there next year!
A big thank you to Mrs Scanlon for pulling the Dover Court team together.
