Year 5 Science Fair

For the exit point of the last IPC topic of ‘Fairgrounds’, our Year 5s were asked to contribute to a science fair through their home learning .

The students chose a scientific question to investigate and carried out a full investigation with a prediction, method, results and evaluation. The children were also asked to ensure it was a fair test. The Year 5s presented this to their peers and parents and even the secondary science teachers came by to have a look. From bouncing eggs to electromagnets, clothes dye made out of fruit to water that defied gravity, the children brilliantly showcased a wide range of scientific studies and skills.
