This week we have enjoyed taking part in activities for World Kindness Day.

The children in 2HP were really lucky to receive the kind gift of a book from Amanda Peddle, who is an author based in Kent, England.

TAM’s Journey is a special book about a young boy who goes on the adventure of a lifetime, learning about his brain and emotions at the same time as discovering a new friend called Hetty. It was special to share this book during World Kindness Day and think about how we can reflect on our behavior and care for one another, incorporating our schools' vision.

We shared the story as a class and then discussed the main events that took place in TAM’s journey.  As a class, we reflected on the times where we might have felt uncertain about a situation or unsure about how to handle our feelings.  We then thought about ways that we could manage our emotions better and how we interact with others around us.

The children loved the book so much that they completed book reviews, with the whole class giving it a full 5 stars. To show their gratitude the children decided to write special thank you letters to  the author, for sending us this amazing book.
