This week in 2RC, we have started learning about division and how division is sharing an amount equally.
So, to start off the week Miss Cox told us a fun story all about how she had to share her cookies between herself and some of the other teachers in school. First she had to share her cookies between two people, then three, then four, six, twelve and finally twenty-four! It was a really good way for us to see how you always have to make sure everyone has an equal amount, otherwise it’s not fair. Next, we practiced sharing cookies ourselves, making sure that everyone had the same amount, and writing the question as a division question. It was so much fun and we got to eat our cookies at the end too!
