Dover Ongoing Teaching - EYFS We are getting into the DOT routines and our youngest students are working on their phonics, helping prepare healthy snacks and going on treasure hunts around their house.

We are getting into the DOT routines and our youngest students are working on their phonics, helping prepare healthy snacks and going on treasure hunts around their house.

Our youngest students in Nursery and Reception have been working hard on their phonics during the DOT learning - some children even made their own phonics videos. The children also enjoyed using cardboard and turning it into something imaginative, we've seen so many fantastic creations and even a big cardboard ship!

Mrs Lindsay led an exciting treasure hunt where the children had to find different objects around the house. Some children also made their own treasure hunts and maps.

Mrs Reynolds' class loved the story Aliens Love Underpants and worked hard at home to describe the aliens from the story. They thought about the number of eyes they had, the pattern on their pants, their size, shape, colour and even decided if we thought they were a boy or girl.

The teachers are so proud of how amazingly well the children are working, well done EYFS!
