Year 7 ASDAN* students have been enjoying independent research and working outside the classroom, to support their work on Healthy Eating.
The students have been looking at the different food groups and their importance for our bodies. Our aim now is to see the variety of food and drinks that are sold at DCIS and how they support us living a healthy lifestyle.
Students will be using their independent enquiry and interview skills by thinking of their own interesting questions to ask the catering staff to help with their primary research.
*ASDAN is widely recognised as an engaging Secondary curriculum that empowers students through personalised learning and choice. The courses motivate and enhance students’ confidence, self-esteem and resilience. In addition, students develop core skills in teamwork, communication, problem solving, research and self-management.
