We are delighted to announce our outstanding GCSE results for the 2020-2021 examination year.
We are immensely proud of our GCSE students and their results. The 2020-2021 examination year required more from our students than any previous year and they should be very proud of their resilience and determination and during these unprecedented times.
We are excited to share that 96% of our students achieved five or more grades A*-C (4-9), including English and Mathematics, 41% of our students achieved grades A*-A (7-9), which is far above the UK figure of 28.9%. These results are a testament to the hard work of the students and the outstanding education delivered by the Dover Court teachers.

These results represent so much more than a set of grades, so much more than academic success. They are a reflection of our students’ resilience, persistence, commitment and determination. They are also a testament to the support of the whole Dover Court community. Parents, teachers and support staff all provided phenomenal education, encouragement, love and support to enable these young people to shine in the most challenging of circumstances. So, well done to all our students and I wish you the best of fortune and success with the next stage of your education.”
Craig Bull, Head of Secondary commented, " I want to extend my congratulations to the students and teachers on this truly outstanding set of results. This is our largest ever cohort and the percentage of students gaining five or more good passes is the highest in the school's history.. I also want to commend them on what was an even more difficult GCSE year than ever before. Students needed to create a portfolio of evidence for each subject they studied in addition to sitting exams. Therefore, these grades are a true reflection of what they are capable of. They should be incredibly proud of their results and the resilience, collaboration and care they have shown over the past two years. The results also demonstrate again what a special school DCIS is given the value-added score for this year is 1.6, which means students achieved over one and a half grades higher than expected."
