Noah, Dover Court International School’s Under 14 football captain and striker has been selected to participate in the Rising Star Singapore training camp in Belgium with Koninklijke Maatschappij Sportkring (KMSK) Deinze.

The Year 9 student, who aspires to be a professional football player, is one of three players in Singapore chosen through a joint project with ACA Football Partners. He has been playing football since he was 3 years old after attending a football party and the rest is history.

When asked what it feels like to be selected for the Rising Star Singapore training camp, Noah is thankful for the opportunity and anticipates personal growth from the experience. “This is a chance you don't really get often. I was one of the three people chosen out of the 850 in Singapore! I feel very special and proud of myself and hopefully, the training turns out to be good. The other two players selected are U15 and U17,” he says.

Since joining Dover Court as a Year 5 student in 2019, he has been a strong player on the DCIS Wolves football team. Noah has been awarded Football Player of the Year and has an active football career outside of school, having played for multiple teams.

“I was playing for my Crewe Athletics team, and they thought I was good and could come over for a trial. The role of a striker is to score goals and create chances for my teammates,” he adds.

As a captain, Noah is honoured to be given the opportunity to lead the team and is very proud of all the achievements made together. “I feel very good to lead the team and we haven't lost the season so far. I motivate the team by pushing them and keeping their heads up,” he says.

During his years on the football pitch, Noah recalls many great and memorable matches. There is particularly one memory that is extra special to him, “I played in the Youth Champions League, which is one of the biggest leagues in Singapore and it was memorable when we lifted the trophy that night after scoring and winning our last game!”

“One other major highlight and achievement was when we represented Dover Court to play against Tanglin last year and won 5-0! It was pretty big for us,” he continues.

Noah has had an amazing year so far and we wish him the best of luck. We can’t wait to see where his football journey will take him!
