We are incredibly excited to celebrate the remarkable success of our 2025 London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) cohort, who have once again achieved exceptional results in their examinations across Grades 3 to 8. This year, we proudly announce a 100% pass rate at the Merit and Distinction levels, marking a truly outstanding achievement. An impressive 88% of the cohort were awarded Distinction, the highest possible grade, while the remaining candidates achieved a Merit, reflecting work of an exceptionally high standard.
A special congratulations goes to Nitya in Year 13, who received a Distinction for her Grade 8 Solo Acting Award, the Gold Award, and the highest qualification in the Acting Awards. We also celebrate Olivia in Year 12 and Allegra in Year 13, who achieved their Grade 7 Silver Solo Acting Award, demonstrating exceptional skill and artistry. Special recognition is deserved for Harper and Max in Year 11 and Cameron in Year 12, who each scored an incredible 96 out of 100, the highest marks awarded in the cohort, a phenomenal accomplishment!
In addition to recognising the success of our acting candidates, we were thrilled to see students from the BTEC (Business and Technology Education Council) Business Programme excel in their public speaking presentation skills. Gordavan and Francisco earned Silver Awards with Distinction, while Leon was awarded his Grade 6 Bronze Award with Distinction. This course is an excellent complement to their Business Studies, equipping them with the confidence, clarity, and persuasive communication skills that will directly enhance their BTEC qualification. These students will be able to transfer their learning into presentations, pitches, and professional scenarios, giving them a competitive edge for both further education and the workplace.
DCIS Principal Christopher Short remarked, “It was wonderful to be present as the DCIS Drama team presented these certificates. You could see the pride on the students' faces as they received recognition for their hard work. Drama is such an important life skill, as it provides the confidence and techniques for people to use well beyond the stage, managing meetings and delivering presentations in their further studies and careers. I am grateful to the Drama team for preparing our students for these globally recognised qualifications.”
These results reflect not only the incredible talent of our students but also their dedication, perseverance, and passion for performance. Through LAMDA, they have developed skills that will last a lifetime, including confident communication, sharp presentation, creative thinking, teamwork, and the ability to adapt under pressure. LAMDA is one of the oldest and most prestigious drama schools in the world. Renowned for training exceptional artists through its undergraduate and postgraduate courses, LAMDA is also widely recognised for its Speech and Drama examinations.
LAMDA qualifications are internationally recognised and provide a powerful addition to any record of achievement, whether for applications to further education, professional training, or future employment. We are proud to offer the LAMDA programme at Dover Court International School in Singapore, where our students have the opportunity to develop their confidence, creativity, and communication skills. Each candidate now holds a qualification that reflects their dedication, talent, and pursuit of excellence.
Congratulations to our entire cohort, you have shone brilliantly, inspired those around you, and demonstrated what it means to aim high and achieve with grace and distinction. Click here to discover more about Secondary School life and the opportunities we offer our students at Dover Court.
