There were over 130 music students from nine Nord Anglia regional schools.

Our students performed in various ensembles, from a small brass ensemble to a wind band, a string ensemble and chorus.

There was also a full orchestra conducted by the Juilliard-trained conductor Radu Paponiu performing works by Mozart, Borodin and Brahms.

The grand finale was a full concert on stage at the Vietnam National Academy of Music which was live-streamed on Facebook.

It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to meet and play music with so many young musicians from across the region.

At varying times it was exhausting, exhilarating, frustrating, overwhelming...but always inspiring.

The host school (BIS Hanoi) did a wonderful job organizing and running the event, complete with an evening show at the Hanoi Opera House and many great meals.

The hope is that the festival expands over the years to include drama and dance. We certainly look forward to participating in this special event for many years to come.
