Portrait of a teacher : Marie-Pascal Connolly

Hello, my name is Marie-Pascal Connolly. I come from an international background: my father was Irish and my mother is German and as my parents met in Switzerland they gave me a French name. I finished a degree in Hotel management but after my four children were born, I changed career and became a teacher, my subjects are English and Art. I love sharing my language skills and developing children’s creativity.

What do I think of Champittet?

I started working at Champittet College in August 2012 teaching young learners English. What I enjoy at Champitet is teamwork, I like to work on projects with the other teachers. Lunch with my colleagues is a crucial time for exchanging ideas, general information and enjoying each other’s company.

My strong points

I am good natured, always ready to put my skills in arts and crafts to the service of the other teachers' projects. I am also very flexible and capable of replacing a colleague whenever needed.

And as I have said before: “For me, the best teaching in class is when I forget that I’m teaching ”.
