On May 23rd came the moment that every Champittet student awaits with anticipation and excitement: graduation. Immaculately dressed, our Class of 2025 entered in procession and stood on the brink of adulthood – closing one chapter and welcoming the next stage of their academic, personal and professional pursuits.
During the ceremony, our Director General, Mr Philippe de Korodi, and Dr Juan F. Perellon, Academic Director of the École Hôtelière de Lausanne, addressed our graduating students with words of inspiration. Later, our own Champittet students took the mic, sharing heartfelt emotions and reflections with their classmates. Valedictorians from each of our three diploma programmes gave speeches: Charlotte M. and Raffael V. for the Swiss Maturit, Paule-Marie D. and Oscar D. for the French Baccalaureate, and Zoe B. and Mani M. for the International Baccalaureate.
Several student-led musical interludes also gave the evening a special atmosphere, from Alessio’s moving piano performance of Bach’s Prelude No. 1 in C Major to Luca’s energetic rendition of Elton John’s “I'm Still Standing”.
A closing aperitif brought together our Champittet community for a final toast to the success of our newest class of alumni. The moment was emotional not only for our families, but for teachers and staff as well – as one of our Champittet team members said, “It's so beautiful to see them on such a special day. We've seen some of them grow up from a very young age. Knowing that they are ready to take off towards new horizons is deeply moving. Well done to them!”
We’re incredibly proud of all our graduates for their efforts and achievements. Our Collège Champittet Class of 2025 will be attending some of the world’s most prestigious universities, both in Switzerland – such as St. Gallen and EPFL – and abroad, including McGill University, Hong Kong University, University of Leeds and King’s College London. We wish you all the best of luck – don’t forget to come back and visit!
