Getting to know yourself, following your passion, giving you the self-confidence and means to succeed, that is what Collège Champittet taught me during my wonderful years there as a student, not to forget a solid group of friends upon which I can always rely.
But the path to reach Place Vendôme was not straight forward. In fact when choosing what to study, I hesitated. HEC? Maths was not my strongest subject ... Literature? I was definitely interested but eventually the family tradition won over, and I decided to study a bilingual diploma in law in Fribourg! They say that law opens all doors but you still have to reach them!
An internship at Christie's in Geneva introduced me to this beautiful institution which has taught me so much! It trusted me when I had little experience and offered me great opportunities. François Curiel, current Chairman of Christie's for the Asia Pacific region was the mentor who guided me during the ten years of this beautiful adventure that led me to the appointment as Vice President of Christie's jewelry department in NY!
The ambition to work for a great jeweler was always there and when Van Cleef & Arpels approached me to run their shop on 5th Avenue in NY, I accepted without a moment of hesitation! A few years later, I was offered the position of Sales Director for the United States and a year ago I became Global Sales Director based at the headquarters in Paris, the capital of the “Haute Joaillerie”. I still do not know if it is a dream or reality, but if it is a dream I do not want to wake up!
