The alumni network is growing

In February, March and April, the alumni network of Collège Champittet inaugurated 3 Stamms: Geneva, Paris and London.

"Stamm" is a German word meaning tree trunk, stump, family, group of regulars; being member of a Stamm was once a mark of social status. This term is nowadays commonly used to refer to a group of friends or members of a society who meet regularly.

For Collège Champittet, "Stamm" means groups of alumni living in different cities in Switzerland and abroad, who meet at least once a year.

Lausanne is our main Stamm, as most of our alumni live in the Lausanne region. This year we inaugurated the 3 new ones: Geneva, Paris and London. Each Stamm has an ambassador, who helps keeping the local community active between each annual meeting; the ambassador is also in charge of welcoming new members who join the Stamm of its city.
These gatherings provide the opportunity to mix business and leisure, have a good time with former classmates, discover the paths and projects of each member, and for some to initiate a collaboration or start a strong new friendship.
