Professional development for teachers & staff

As educators, we are committed to nurturing lifelong learners – and that is just as true for our teachers and staff as it is for our students. Before welcoming our students back to Collège Champittet, our teachers and staff gathered for several days of learning, collaboration and connection, paving the way for a successful academic year ahead.
New employee induction days
In mid-August, our Human Resources team organised a two-day induction programme to welcome our new teachers and staff members. Designed to foster a sense of community from day one, the induction gave newcomers an opportunity to meet their colleagues, learn about life at Champittet and become familiar with our school’s culture and values.
Team-building and professional development for all
Before the new term began, we welcomed all our teachers and staff back to Champittet for two days of professional development. Our teachers and staff engaged in team-building exercises that focused on the theme of languages and cultures, celebrating the international spirit of Champittet while forming connections across departments and disciplines.
Through various workshops, we explored topics such as educational technology, behaviour management, teaching strategies, student support and curriculum development. These dedicated sessions gave our departments time to collaborate, exchange best practices and prepare for the upcoming school year.
Continuous learning to foster teaching excellence
As part of the Nord Anglia Education family of schools, teachers at Collège Champittet benefit from continuous learning opportunities throughout the year. By investing in professional development, we foster teaching excellence and provide the best possible conditions for our students to thrive.
As we begin a new academic year at Champittet, we look forward to putting our shared insights into practice and helping every student reach their full potential.
