During the autumn holidays, our boarders had the privilege to visit Costa Rica and explore the natural wonders of this beautiful county. They were accompanied by Mrs. Marcovici, the boarding house Director and Mr. Muzenga, the deputy Director in charge of boys.
The journey was a fantastic experience punctuated by great adventures such as crossing the longest zip-line in American Continent (over one km over the jungle and mountains).
The trip continued in a relaxed and warm atmosphere, while the students were able to strengthen their bonds of friendship enjoying this beautiful country and learning interesting facts about an ecosystem unique in the world.
They were able to enjoy the nature and wildlife, including the incredible opportunity to watch the baby turtles hatch and make their first steps towards the Caraibean Sea, and the 200-kg sea turtles laying their eggs on a beautiful volcanic beach. An unforgettable moment!
They also enjoyed relaxing in the natural hot springs at the base of the famous Arenal volcano, witnessed breathtaking of the Pacific Coast and one of the best kept Natural Park” Manuel Antonio” which is shelter to a variety of animals and butterfly species.
The pupils enjoyed cooking for themselves using local ingredients and attended an art class in Sarchi Village where they painted miniature cart wheels.
One moment full of emotion was the visit of a local school where the students enjoyed entertaining games together with the local children and practiced their Spanish.
An unforgettable trip with lots of rewarding experiences and memories that will last for a life time!
