A professional shadow puppeteer delighted students with his interactive performance here at Léman.
A professional shadow puppeteer delighted students with his interactive performance here at Léman. Senior Kindergarten teachers hosted the show to engage students with their unit, “Look and Listen”, exploring light and sound. The puppeteer, who had been practicing for over 30 years, told traditional Chinese fairy tales with the use of beautiful puppets and classical Chinese music. Some fortunate students had the opportunity to try using the puppets themselves, and a few were even selected for a final performance!
The puppet show offered a modern twist by including popular Korean hit, “Gangnam Style”, which had students and teachers up and out of their seats to dance along! The performance successfully helped motivate SK students to create their own light and sound show, which they will be working on in class to celebrate their learning at the end of the unit.
