Leman was represented at the U11 Academic Olympiad Competition on November 21 thru November 24 by eight students from grades 4 and 5. These students traveled to Guangzhou to compete in the inaugural U11 Academic Olympiad China.  The events were held at the British School of Guangzhou. They competed against 11 other teams from 7 other Nord Anglia Schools.

The team consisted of Stella Chin, Evelyn Chung, Alex Gale, Lia Hesser, Jason Jin, Krish Manan, Xenia Rothe, Prince Wang and Coaches Victoria Robinson, Paul Traynor, and Deondra Richey.

Students competed in a myriad of academic challenges in humanities, math, and logic. The categories consisted of topics about Ancient Rome, Capital Cities, Flags, Famous Landmarks, Real World Math Problem Solving, Team Data and Analysis, Riddles, Chess Problems and Notation, Word Scrambles, and much more.

These students worked tirelessly all weekend and were rewarded with first place in their division. We are so proud of these students and Ms. Victoria Robinson for all their hard work and determination.  They worked as a team to motivate, encourage, and support each other throughout the entire journey.
