Remembrance Sunday

On Sunday 12th November, a memorial service and wreath laying ceremony was held at the Rangoon War Cemetery, to commemorate soldiers of British and Commonwealth countries that have died in the line of duty.

The British Ambassador delivered an address and a two-minute silence was observed. The service was attended by ambassadors and embassy staff, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, veteran soldiers and many other distinguished guests.
Henry Rigden and Ada Spiess were chosen as representatives of the British School Yangon to lay a wreath. It was an honor for the children and a moving ceremony for all who attended.
