  • B. A. English Teaching, Universidad Pedagógica Experimental Libertador – Aragua, Venezuela
  • M. A. Linguistics Applied to Teaching English as a Foreign Language, Universidad Europea del Atlántico – Santander, Spain (Expected graduation 2022)
  • M. A. Teaching English as a Foreign Language, Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana – Puerto Rico (Expected graduation 2022)

Silvia began teaching English as a Foreign Language in her home country back in 2008 to students of all ages; children, teenagers and adults. In 2011 she moved to Panama and began teaching English as a subject in both Elementary and Middle school in Colón. Silvia also became a Homeroom teacher in 6th grade. In 2014, Silvia moved to Panama City to widen her experience and took up a position at El Colegio de Panamá until 2019 when she joined the MET faculty.

Silvia aims to lead students towards learning by feeling engaged and inspired to innovate limitlessly, which is why she always dreamed of teaching at the MET: a place (in Silvia’s words) where growth is constantly fostered and differences are celebrated.
