NEVER A TRADITIONAL CLASSROOM
AN EXCITING WORLD OF DISCOVERY AWAITS YOUR CHILD

PROJECTS AND EXPERIENCES THAT MAKE LEARNING UNFORGETTABLE

Memorable learning doesn’t mean reciting information or following a set of rules as the only way to solve a problem. At the MET, we encourage your child to push beyond their limits! They’ll take the lead in their own hands-on learning, using different techniques during projects that allow them to show their skills and knowledge. Our projects and experiences beyond the classroom work together to build your child’s confidence, so they’ll learn how to take strategic risks and become an innovator of the future.

A WORLD BEYOND THE CLASSROOM

Our “Passport Adventures” program at the MET complements the curriculum and features overnight explorations of Panama's wilderness and communities. Our students can go on thrilling trips to increase their independence and self-reliance, strengthen their bonds with peers and teachers, and contribute local service in Panama. Your child will also increase their environmental consciousness and further their understanding of other Panamanian communities.

CHOICE, VOICE, AND ACTION

LOOKING AFTER OUR WELL-BEING AND HAPPINESS

We foster a warm, family-like community at the MET, as we encourage our students to be the best they can and nurture their social and emotional growth. In Elementary, our counsellors are based within each of our five classroom “neighborhoods,” helping them to get to know each child very well. Together with teachers, our counsellors steer an environment where everyone feels cared for, seen, and heard.

We empower every student with “choice, voice, and action” to take ownership of their time at school and to pursue everything they’re interested in. From Grade 6 onwards, this becomes key when students choose their own electives or can even initiate and run their own elective — exploring diverse interests like cooking, Chinese, debate, or fitness and wellness.

PURPOSEFUL LEARNING

CARING THAT DRIVES ACTION

As an important part of our culture at the MET, our students contribute service to communities around them and participate in a range of purposeful activities where they can make a real difference. We give back to our communities by helping them meet different authentic needs.

Our students additionally get involved with environmental initiatives and awareness campaigns from beach clean-ups to environmental outreach opportunities. Service groups like the Make-A-Wish club, Operation Smile, and CanCure also make tangible contributions to others’ needs. Meanwhile, our Model United Nations team, MET MUN, seeks to address both local and global problems.
