Primary children win photo competition

Out of more than 200 children from all the Nord Anglia Education (NAE) Schools around the world who entered the Global Classroom calendar competition, two Primary students from Regents International School Pattaya were overall winners and will have their photos published in the yearly Nord Anglia Education calendar.
  • Kids at Regents International School Pattaya win international photo competition

Congratulations to Elyse (Year 4) and Bogdan (Year 6) who will have their photos printed in the 2015 NAE calendar. This is a great achievement and we are very proud that 1/6 of the calendar will be represented by students from our school. The photographs taken by the children were not only an outstanding depiction of ‘adventure’, which was the theme for the competition; they were also well-deserving of a place in the calendar. Mr. Blaikie was in the Key Stage Two assembly to present the children with their certificates and each of the children will receive a framed copy of their photograph as a reward for their effort. Please see the Competition area on Global Classroom to view all the winning entries.

Mr. Blaikie commented, “To have one winner in this competition is an honour and a delight; to have two is a dream. I look forward to pinning up the international calendar with two Regents illustrated months on my wall with great pride. Well done and congratulations to the winners and all who entered their outstanding shots.”

‘Plunge’ by Elyse (Year 4)

My photo is about adventure and trying new things. We tried something new this year when we moved to Thailand and now we have a swimming pool at school. My sister Leila was being adventurous when she jumped into the deep end of the pool.

‘Finding a New Flower’ by Bogdan (Year 6)

I followed this Bee around the plant and watched it closely as it chose where it could find the best flower. After buzzing around for a while it went off on another flying adventure looking for sweet flowers.
