Dear Parents and Friends
On behalf of all of us at Regents I am writing to wish everybody a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year when it comes. Your support for the school is hugely appreciated and I am sure that you will agree that this last term has been another one packed with numerous exciting events and activities. Please do take some time to read the primary and secondary newsletters which celebrate and reflect the wide spectrum of learning opportunities and often quite amazing experiences which fill the calendar. It has been a delight to see young people’s enthusiasm and involvement and I am grateful to the staff who have worked so hard to provide such an excellent array of trips, productions, fixtures and the like which have been of the highest standard.
We must not forget, of course, the important work which takes place every day in the classrooms across the school and the serious business of achieving the very best possible outcomes for every single student. Again my thanks to all of our staff for whom the approaching holiday will come as a welcome and well-earned rest. Well done especially to those who have wrestled with testing and examinations and a special mention to those students and staff who have completed their first term at the school. That number includes yours truly and I am immensely appreciative of all of your backing and support as I have taken over at the helm. There has been a lot to learn and so many new people to meet but every day has been a pleasure and I am very honoured indeed to belong to and lead such a vibrant and happy community. I look forward with optimism and energy to the school’s continuing success and thank you and everybody involved in Regents for your on-going friendship and interest. An inspiring and memorable first term!
I must also thank you for choosing our school. My staff and I all know how lucky we are to have such wonderful students with whom we work every day. I value the very productive and essential link with the Parents Representative Group and enjoyed meeting several of you at our recent termly gathering. Of course you are always welcome to come and visit at any time as your role in your sons’ and daughters’ education and development is not to be underestimated!
For those who are travelling I wish you safe journeys and return rested and refreshed. I wish every family peace and happiness.
We look forward to seeing our boarders return on Sunday 4th and all other students on Monday 5th January 2015.
Best wishes and all the very best,
Iain Blaikie, Principal at Regents International School Pattaya
