A special visit from Juilliard Alumnus trumpeter Liam Day. He will be sharing his music and will perform a free concert exclusively for the Regents school community.

Earlier this year, Regents became the only school in Thailand collaborating with The Juilliard School in New York, as part of the Juilliard-Nord Anglia Performing Arts Programme which was launched in May.

A new embedded music curriculum has been introduced in classrooms across the school since the start of the 2015/16 academic year, and our music team are also continuing to receive ongoing support and resources from Juilliard.

As part of this, Regents will be hosting another Juilliard alumnus, trumpeter Liam Day who is an accomplished performer. Liam is currently Sub-Principal Trumpet with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra. He has performed at many of the world’s most prestigious festivals (including Tanglewood, Aspen, Verbier, Spoleto USA and the Pacific Music Festival, Japan) and appeared as a soloist across South East Asia, Australia and the United States.

Liam Day will be in school visiting the staff and students on Tuesday 1st December. He has also kindly agreed to perform a free Concert on Tuesday 1st December in the Globe Theatre at 15:30-16:20.

This will be a fantastic whole school event exclusively for the Regents school community, and an opportunity for parents to share an inspiring musical experience with students and staff, including some of our community partners who will also attend.

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come-first serve basis. The performance begins at 15:30 sharp, with some light refreshments beforehand. There will also be late buses available for booking for those children who would also like to attend the event after school.
