World Children's Day at Regents

21 November 2017

On Monday 20 November 2017, Regents International School Pattaya participated in our very first and very successful World Children's Day in collaboration with Nord Anglia Education and UNICEF.

To kick off the day, Nord Anglia Education challenged all participating schools to do a live Twitter chain; in which each school had to answer a question about gender equality via video. The question that we got was 'If you were to start your own country, how would you ensure gender equality for everybody?'

We then had a school takeover by students. Primary and Secondary students spent the entire day taking over the roles of staff members across the school. We had students planning and teaching classes; observing lessons; attending meetings with the SLT and line managers; and taking over lunch duty from kitchen staff, just to name a few.

On World Children's Day, Regents made it a day for children by children.
