She has studied in Spain at the University of Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona and has lived in Argentina, working as journalist in Buenos Aires before beginning her career in teaching as a Teach First Associate in 2011.
Through their Leadership Development Programme in London, England, Iena spent two intensive years teaching in a number of schools in the UK before transitioning into the realm of international teaching. Iena has worked in an International School in Dubai previously and also another Nord Anglia British International School in Chicago. This is where she gained vast experience of leading students from all over the world through their Spanish IGCSEs, A-levels and IB courses.
Outside of teaching, her biggest passion is traveling, and discovering new countries and cultures, in a bid to find unique destinations of rare natural beauty that allow her to learn about different ways of life and other traditions. She is very excited to part of the Regents Community and exploring all that Asia has to offer.
