A crowd of very proud dads and their lovely daughters walked the red carpet to the sound of a trumpet fanfare as they were ushered into the ballroom at the Holiday Inn. Over three hours, the girls and dads enjoyed a sumptuous buffet dinner and craft activities, but the highlight of the evening was definitely the dancing.
Dads and daughters competed in a Macarena dance-off, with the girls finally emerging victorious. There were also special dance competitions for Early Years and Infants, Junior School, and Middle and Upper School. However, the obvious pleasure for all was when the dads and their daughters took to the floor together.
The ball committee, led by Michelle Schneider, ensured every part of the evening was storybook perfect – from the fairytale castle entrance created by Laura Hilditch and Charlotte McLuskie, to the glittering blue and silver table decorations, complete with candelabras.
Each of the girls also received a jeweled bracelet as a memento of their special evening.
