NAIS Pudong Scholarships
Last Friday, our NAIS Pudong campus was full of joy and celebration as we welcomed parents to this year's Primary showcase along with transition assemblies for both Reception and Year 6 students — a highlight of the year that brings our vibrant community together.
The morning began with a warm and welcoming coffee morning hosted by our dedicated Parent and Community Association. Parents then joined their children in classrooms across Early Years and Primary to take part in hands-on activities, and to get a first-hand look at the exceptional progress made by students throughout the academic year.
In Early Years, children proudly shared their nature-inspired art and plant-growing projects, whilst demonstrating their understanding of life cycles through collaborative crafts. Lower primary classrooms were buzzing with energy as families solved mathematical puzzles, played learning games, and participated in end-of-term challenges designed by the students themselves.
In Upper Primary, students presented in-depth project work on topics such as sustainability, global cultures - both ancient and modern - and entrepreneurship. It was wonderful to see how confidently they explained their ideas and showcased the skills they've developed throughout the academic year.
School corridors were transformed into galleries, displaying creative writing, science experiments, artwork, mathematical problem-solving and photo collages of classroom life. The Showcase was not only about final products—it was a celebration of students’ ongoing determination and hard work, resulting in exceptional academic progress and pastoral growth.
At the Year 6 Graduation Ceremony, students reflected on their time in Primary through speeches and thank-you messages. Mr. Thompson, Head of Early Years and Primary, reflected on the power of our being brave in learning, before presenting certificates to each student and congratulating them on this important milestone. There were smiles, applause, along with a few tears, as families watched their children mark the end of one chapter and look forward to the next.
Congratulations to our Year 6 graduates! We wish you all the best as you move into Secondary. And to all our families: thank you for your continued support throughout the year. Enjoy a restful and happy summer holiday—we'll see you in August for the start of a brand-new year!
Last week, NAIS Pudong Primary School hosted a fascinating "Vintage Artifacts Show & Tell" lecture for Year 5 and Year 6 students, aiming to deepen their appreciation for Chinese cultural heritage.
