Principal's Message - 3rd March 2016

03 March 2016

Here at NAIS Pudong we are extremely fortunate to have such fantastic cooperation with the parents of our students. However, we would like to improve on this further. One of the ways in which we can do this is to ask you directly how you think we are doing. Therefore, next week our annual parent satisfaction survey will be carried out across our family of schools. This will be emailed out to you so we can get a clear picture of what you think we are doing well and what you might want us to improve further.

  • Careers Fair

Whilst the survey is completed annually and responses collated confidentially by our central office, we would like to emphasise that we welcome your comments on ways in which you think we can improve the school at any time in the school year. This can be in relation to anything to do with school life, be that academic, out of school activities, how we relate to the community or how we look after your child's welfare. Our offices are always open, and should there be anything you wish us to address or indeed celebrate, we welcome parents coming in and spending time with us.

As a team we are always grateful for feedback, and relish the opportunity to work together to ensure all our students have a fantastic experience with us during their time here. It’s been great to see the number of parents increase at various events and meetings during the course of the year and engage with school life. The partnership between school and home is one of the most critical relationships in securing all-round success for your child, so please email us, pop in and have a coffee, or catch us at any school event to let us know how things are going or to discuss any questions you might have.

Of course, the feedback survey is not the only survey we send out at this time of the year. Soon we will also be sending out our annual intention to return survey. Planning ahead to ensure we have the right staffing and resources is crucial for us to cater for our students’ needs. We are well aware that for some families the world of an expatriate is often unsure, and many decisions are still in the air, but we ask parents to help us with our planning by indicating where you are in those decisions. If you do already know this is the end of your Shanghai journey, please keep us informed.

Next week is set to be a really busy one with Beauty and the Beast and our Careers Fair, to name just a couple of our events. I look forward to seeing you then.
