Global Campus Creative Writing Winner!

15 June 2016

We are thrilled to announce that Courtney Gill in Year 8C has been recognised as a finalist in the Global Campus Creative Writing Competition.

Courtney’s entry, an excellent piece of creative writing called ‘Patchwork’ is one of just four pieces of writing to be highly commended in the Lower Secondary category of the competition which saw entries from all 42 Nord Anglia schools. An amazing achievement!

The Creative Writing Competition started during Term 2 and many of our students set to work writing biographical sketches, poems, short stories and newspaper articles. We had a range of students short-listed by the judges. It was a pleasure to have the judges Kevin Crossley-Holland, Barry Hutchison and Rhiannon Lassiter judge the work of our Ambitious students.

Courtney’s work was selected by the Lower Secondary Judge Barry Hutchison. Courtney was absolutely delighted to receive such an award and even more pleased with an Amazon Voucher Prize awarded by the Global Campus Team to celebrate her achievement.

Courtney will also receive her own copy of the Global Campus Anthology in which her work will be published. Copies of the anthology will also be available to read at school early next year.
