Use of the Media Suite
Please remind your child that they need to be respectful in their use of the Media Suite as a space for revision and exam preparation. Students need to ensure that they are quiet in this area, and that any rubbish is disposed of or taken with them, rather than leaving it in the room.
Return of School Resources
A polite reminder regarding the return of school resources (specifically textbooks, but also any other resources that students may have borrowed, such as memory sticks or SD cards). All of these resources need to be returned to the appropriate subject area. You have received a form via email which needs to be signed off by me - if you cannot print this off, Shining in the Secondary School Office has copies. The deadline for this will be Friday 17th June.
Year 11 Celebration Evening: 17th June

Can I please ask anyone who has not yet done this to return the payment to Amber in the Uniform Shop ASAP? We are down to the last few now!

Exciting Summer Opportunity: Leadership Academy
The Leadership Academy is an amazing opportunity for students aged 16-18 (including students who are leaving school this summer), to experience life at one of the world’s most prestigious universities – Oxford. In a two-week programme, students will be taught by Oxford academics and postgraduate students, as well as having exclusive admissions lectures from the university’s admissions office. They will participate in a wide-ranging discussion about issues including international development and sustainability, which will culminate in a formal debate based on the recent Paris Climate Change Conference. In their downtime they will have the opportunity to explore Oxford as well as heading for day trips to London. I am really excited to be helping to organise this Academy, and as of two weeks ago the application process went live!
This course would be ideal for any Upper Secondary students who took part in the Debate League this year, but it would also appeal to anyone interested in History, Politics, Geography, Economics, current affairs, or to anyone who wants to see more of Oxford student life/the UK. I would greatly appreciate your help in publicising this event. There are 60 places available and we would like to fill these ASAP.
