At NAIS Pudong, we inspire our students to be academically ambitious -- to believe there is no limit to what they can achieve. A group of Year 11 students certainly fulfilled this goal by achieving 100% A* to A, the highest possible outcome for students in their recent early entry GCSE Mathematics. Of course this didn’t happen overnight. It was acomplished through hard work, diligence, effective time management and with the guidance of all who supported them through the process. I can’t think of a better group of ambassadors for our school, and wish to congratulate them on their success. I am sure there are many proud parents sharing their child's results with friends and family back home today. Even though the hard work must continue as these students prepare for the remainder of their exams in May and June, I think it’s appropriate to take a breath and offer a very well-deserved pat on the back.
Another pat on the back goes to our teachers, students and parents who participated in our annual lock down drill today. It is reassuring to know that our students are equipped with the knowledge of what to do in an emergency and would respond in a sensible, calm manner. Not a sound could be heard as we moved through the corridors assessing the effectiveness of the lock down procedures. A special note of mention to our youngest students in the school; we were amazed at how still and silent our Pre Nursery 1 children could be. This is no small feat for a group of 1 to 2 year olds in a room filled with toys!
