This week, Year 4 spent a morning in JinQiao at Jaguar Land Rover Training College. The students got the chance to learn all about how different materials come together to create a car and tied in our learning in the classroom from our Material World topic to real life.
Year 4 got to think about how STEAM is integrated into real life through the intertwining of researching, designing and engineering a car. They also got to look at different parts of the car from engines to headlights and seat belts to gearsticks and explore the materials used to make these car parts.
After this, our students saw the cars and looked at the parts once they have been put together! Students even got to sit in the cars and pretend to drive. A really big thank you to our parents Scott Emery, Yuyang Zhao and the team at Jaguar Land Rover for being our teachers this morning. Year 4 have learnt so much, we definitely have some potential engineers in our midst now their imaginations have been fired up!
