Hillary commenced her studies McGill University in 2016 where she was awarded the Hugh Brock Scholarship, in recognition of her academic excellence and co-curricular engagement in her IB Diploma Programme. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance, Business Analytics & Global Strategy in the Desautels Faculty of Management. During her time at McGill, she has become actively involved with student leadership. As such, she has taken roles in a wide array of student organisations at McGill, ranging from sports to business to international relations.  Most recently, she was elected president the Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship and organised two national conferences: the National Women in Business Conference and McMUN (ranked second best intercollegiate Model UN conference in North America after Harvard). Her leadership skills were implemented when she led the organisation the Desautels Management Achievement Awards which celebrated the success of McGill alumni with the most prestigious award this year going to Dani Reiss, the CEO of Canada Goose. Her leadership as the President of the Student Executive Team at the McGill Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship resulted her being nominated for an award for sparking entrepreneurial spirits of many at McGill. Hillary has recenlty been presented with the McGill Scarlet Key, one of the most prestigious awards recognising student leadership and excellence in extra-curricular engagement at McGill University.

She recently reflected on her time as an IB Learner: “I think that my time at NAIS and doing the IB Diploma truly set the foundation for my achievements to date, as I was exposed to various services learning experiences. I greatly enjoyed completing CAS because it was an opportunity for me to try things other than simply studying. I understood how to manage my time right from the beginning of university as I was used to it from secondary school. I’m very grateful for all the different experiences and excited to see what’s next!”

If you are an IB Diploma alumni form our school we would love to hear your stories. Please send an email to alumni@naispudong.com with update of where you are now and include a recent photograph. We would be delighted to share your success with our wider school community.
