Opportunities for our Young Leaders in Primary

15 November 2013

Within BISS Puxi we actively encourage meaningful student engagement and create opportunities for student voice and so this week we have concluded the elections for our Student Global Citizen Council (SGCC) representatives.

This process has exposed the children in Years 3-6 to the democratic election process and allowed our amazing young leaders to have the chance to promote themselves and now to take on an important school role.

These students will join the House Captains and Global Classroom Reps as young leaders in the school, meeting regularly to plan school events, awareness campaigns, assemblies and discuss school matters with students, teachers and school leaders. We are so impressed by the passion and confidence of our students to put themselves forward for these roles and know they will take their responsibilities seriously. Well done to you all!
