Throughout the day, the students attended a series of workshops focused on physical computing, 3D printing and robotics, things that they have been covering in their classes.
During the workshops students were introduced to the platform “Arduino” and instructed as to how it can be used; from drones to making robots out of chopsticks!
Students were also given a tour of a robot centre and viewed the 3D printers and their capabilities.
Here is what one student had to say about the trip:
“David (workshop instructor) was extremely enthusiastic and helpful, he opened up a world of new possibilities and it was great to see that what we have studied in class is actually used in real life. I took my circuit home and started to experiment with building my own simple circuit.”
