The Key Stage 2 Choir Wow Guests at The Melbourne Cup

05 November 2014

This week our Key Stage 2 Choir and Ralph Gawthorpe on the Double Bass wowed the crowds at the Australian Shanghai Association Melbourne Cup Gala Luncheon that BISS was proud to be sponsoring.

The ASA have hosted this annual fundraising event since 1998 and it raises money for a selection of local Chinese charities.

Our choir started off the proceedings with some truly British songs from the Beatles and an old Australian folk song that everyone could join in with ‘Kookaburra’.

We were very proud to have our students singing in front of more than 400 people and we had a lot of comments from guests about how great they sounded and how smart they looked. Well done to the choir, Ralph and to Ms Rakowski and Mr Game who looked after everyone!
