Class 3X Perform Theseus and The Minotaur

10 December 2014

Last week 3X put on their class assembly for all of Year 3, 4 and their parents. Their class teacher Michelle Gill, tells us what it was all about…

3X performed Theseus and the Minotaur which they had been studying in their Literacy unit and was linked to their topic ‘Footprints from the Past’.

Every child in the class had a speaking role and performed their parts brilliantly. Some highlights from the play were: the brave Theseus slaying the fearsome minotaur, evil King Minos and his spoilt daughter Phaidra and Ariadne falling in love with Theseus!

Many of the actors went on an exciting journey in their Ancient Greek ship from Athens to Crete and the sailors enjoyed singing their favourite song.

The assembly ended with a fantastic song and the whole class really enjoyed performing for the children in Years 3 & 4 as well as their parents.

"I loved being Theseus and feeling petrified in the labyrinth." - Jean

"My favourite part was performing the song at the end." - Izabella
