Support in Primary

  • Period: Full Time
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Closing date for applications: 12 December 2014

The British International School Shanghai, Puxi, is a well-established and highly successful school with a very strong reputation. Located in the Huacao area of Shanghai, on a modern purpose-built campus featuring high quality facilities and resources, the school has capacity for 1700 students aged 2-18 and delivers outstanding academic success with a contemporary approach to teaching and learning.

We are looking for people who have a willingness and commitment to support individual students at school to ensure they have opportunities to fully participate in the curriculum and school life.

We require people who are able to commit to school hours on a full-time basis or on a part-time basis covering all of the morning periods.

The role will involve working closely with class teachers, liaising on a daily basis, to support students within the classroom environment and may also include support during social times of the school day.

The successful candidate will be a fluent English speaker as well as possessing patience and understanding, flexibility, good communication skills, a proactive approach to challenges and an ability to think on their feet – working with children means no two days are the same!

This is a challenging but ultimately extremely rewarding role, we look forward to hearing from you.

Applications close on Friday 5 December 2014.
