Students who went to the North East Asian Mathematical Competition (NEAMC) last weekend did very well and the results are in for our students who took part in the UK Intermediate Mathematical Challenge in February.
We had 76 students from Years 9, 10 and 11 take part and achieved our best scores as a school since we started entering this UK wide challenge four years ago.
An impressive 87% of students that took part will receive either a Bronze, Silver or Gold certificate. Certificates only go to the top 40% of students worldwide in a ratio 3:2:1, so this is a fantastic achievement. We are also very proud that 17 of our students are eligible for the follow on rounds which will take place on Thursday 20 March.
Huge congratulations must go to Kelly Kim (Year 10) and Hyun Jin Kim (Year 11) who achieved full marks, along with Hyun Woo Kim (Year 9) and Yuri Lee (Year 11) who scored very close to full marks.
