May The 4th Be With You

28 April 2014

As everyone knows, May the 4th each year is Star Wars Day and Mr Ekkel invites you all to celebrate with a Movie Marathon!

  • Star Ways Day at BISS Puxi

To celebrate Star Wars Day this year, and as many of our students have never had the chance to see these films, we are hosting a one-day Movie Marathon of the three original Star Wars films.

The event begins at 11am with the original Star Wars film. Following a lunch break, we’ll screen The Empire Strikes Back at 1.30pm. Return of the Jedi will begin at 4pm, and the event will finish at around 6.15pm.

Food is not provided but we will order in from local companies, so students should bring money to cover their meals. Snacks can also be brought to the event and consumed in the gaps between films.

Star Wars is for everybody, so primary-aged pupils are welcome, as long as they are supervised by a parent / responsible sibling.

The event is free, and there will also be a film quiz and screenings of rare trailers and Star Wars-related short films.

We hope you’ll join us for this action-filled day!

May the Force be with you!

- Rus Ekkel, Film & Media teacher
