Our New Facilities: What the Students Think

29 August 2014

In the first week back after the summer, there has been a lot for the students to explore with all the campus development that took place over the holiday. But what do they think of all the changes?

The primary students enjoying and the new music rooms and Stage One ans exploring the cooking room

The Gallery

“Outside Stage One, there is a room with mirrors inside, it is called The Gallery which will be used as a dance room, or putting artwork inside. I’m looking forward to using it!” - Anneka 6S

Stage One

“Stage One is amazing because the new white board and the massive projector at the back are really cool. The benches are new and fury and comfortable.” – Oskar 6S

“The theatre is now called Stage One, it is in the first floor of primary school, but now I think Stage One is in a really good shape, the seats there are really comfortable and the floor is so clean.” - Anneka 6S

Primary Sports Hall

“The new sports hall is cool and the pictures are new and nice. The new equipment is amazing and soft.” - Oskar 6S

“The sports hall looks great now, it looks a lot nicer and now there are lots of images up on the walls there.” - Anneka 6S

Parents’ Hub & the New Foyer

“The reception is what I would call really amazing, I think it’s the biggest update to the primary school, since it’s just outstanding; everything has changed there over the summer. A lot of people say a lot of positive things about that room also, a lot of people like it 100%.” - Anneka 6S

“I think the new reception is a lot better because it is nearer to the front door and the new doors are cool.” - Oskar 6S

Primary music department

"I like it because there is lots of space." - Nick 2I

"It's got lots of instruments and it's lovely and clean." - Rhea 1I

"It's good because the walls look fancy." - Florrie 1I

“The science labs are smell better and we can use the gas taps for proper experiments.” – Dougie 6P

“I think the science room is really cool, I'm very interested in the gas taps!” – Asia 4S

“The door code it a good idea. It will keep us safe. I want to see an explosion.” – George 4S

“Could we make lava lamp?” – Carys 4S

“Woooooooow!’ – Elliot 4S

Primary Cooking Room

“The new kitchen where the students can learn how to cook is great. It used to be a science lab, but now it’s a newly made kitchen!” - Anneka 6S

“It's for kids! It's easy to reach everything. Look, I can touch the buttons. Can we make pizza?!” - Seth 3X

“The cookers are super cool, and they turn red when they're hot so you don't hurt yourself! “ – Julia 3X

“Is it all real??? I can't believe it's real.” – Sonia, 3X

“Wow! There's a dishwasher! I don't have to wash up. And clean water like my sink at home.” - Zita 1X

Year 5 and 6 Classrooms

“I think the classrooms are amazing because all the walls are all fury and all the chairs and tables are more comfortable. All the drawing pencils and trays are more helpful.” - Oskar 6S

“This year I’ve heard that almost everybody liked the new things around the school, like the new lockers around the higher key stage 2 corridors (Y5 & Y6). The classrooms were greatly improved around the school, also they’re really clean and new, which is really good. I think the Year 6 corridor is amazing even without the displays, now the corridor looks all tidy and clean which is really positive. The whole school looks awesome!” - Anneka 6S
