Going Wild for Tanzania Day

22 October 2015

Last Friday, all Primary students put on their best wild costumes and came into school ready for Tanzania Day. There was a huge range of impressive costumes ranging from animals you would see on the savannah and people dressed in the Tanzania flag, to safari park rangers and jungle creatures.

All of the money donated by the students goes towards the fundraising target of 70 000 RMB that the Year 9 and 10 Tanzania Expedition-goers are working towards. So that the Primary students knew about why they were dressing up, we held a series of Tanzania Day assemblies on the run-up to Friday. Pupils found out about the community work previous BISS Puxi students have done in Tanzania as well as the great plans for this year’s expedition.

Thank you very much to everyone who helped out on Tanzania Day, including the members of the Student Council that took lots of photos for us. Please enjoy looking at a selection of the many great costumes that we saw that day.
