Students Make Huge Impression With The King of the Netherlands

29 October 2015

Yesterday, the Dutch School took nearly 70 students from Reception through to Year 10 to meet the King of the Netherlands, King Willem-Alexander at the NERCPA green house complex in Chongming Island.

Looking sparkling with a hint of orange on their BISS Puxi uniforms, students formed a guard of honor to welcome His Royal Highness.

As a result, the King of the Netherlands is now the proud owner of a BISS Puxi Cub mascot, which was handed to him by two very proud pupils from Year 1. He took the time to extensively greet them with a contemporary ‘high five’ and ‘knuckles’.

All the students were impressed by his dance moves whilst a popular song was sung to bring him to the next part of his visit: a typical Dutch green house.

Meeting the King of the Netherlands was all the students could talk about as we returned back to Shanghai and we’re all extremely grateful that we had the opportunity to do so.
