Across the school, both inside and outside the classroom, the range of exciting educational experiences and the commitment and hard work from staff, students and parents have been outstanding. Right the way through to these last few days of term, there has been a great deal to enjoy and to celebrate.
There have still been plenty of challenges in the classroom as well as lots of sport, music, art and drama activities, year group showcases and the large scale events such as the Christmas Fair, the Winter Concert and the KS3 production of “Fool’s Gold”. Meanwhile in the background, report production, preparation for next term and plans for further campus development over the holidays have also been undertaken.
I would like to thank and congratulate everybody for what has been a very successful first term and to take this opportunity to wish everybody a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Finally, it is a time of year when we do bid farewell to a small number of staff and students who move on to new homes, schools and challenges. We wish them all well and ask that they keep in touch with us and all of the friends they have made during their time with us.
We will also in turn be extending a warm welcome to a significant number of new families to our community after the Christmas break and again after the Chinese New Year.
We look forward to welcoming you all back for the start of the new term on Wednesday 6 January.
Kevin Foyle, Principal
